We offer a lounge where you can relax and enjoy a tea or coffee and recount the events of the day.
If you still have any energy left after a busy day walking, cycling or having spent a day at the beach you can always wind down and enjoy one of the many games on offer in the lounge.
Gatehouse of Fleet offers a number of bars in the town where you can partake in a single malt of your choice, or a fine ale from the Masonic Arms or the Murray Arms which are but a short finve minute walk from Woodlyn.
Or if you still have it in you step out front, turn left and you will literally be walking down Memory Lane which will take you on a nice level road to help wind down at the end of the day ready for an early start and a hearty Woodlyn Breakfast.
The Scottish phrase 'saunter' is derived from the very poor Middle Ages French translation of 'a la sainte terre', meaning 'to the Holy Land. It has stuck since, and many a Scot will take a saunter across the hills and mountains in the area surrounding Gatehouse of Fleet. So if walking is your thing and you are looking to make a day of it, Nikki and I will be more than happy to make you up a packed lunch to see you make it through the day before you can make your way home and on to one for the many fine watering holes in Gatehouse of Fleet
